Grow Bright Read and Write!

Grow Bright Read and Write is an educational and fun way that helps children improve their reading and writing skills and encourages an appreciation for reading that will last them there whole life. Children participate in reading or writing activities for 30 minutes each day.

Activities may include writing stories, learning new vocabulary, or relaxing with a good book. It's a great way for them to explore new worlds while enhancing literacy development. In this way our main goal will be to develop a great enthusiasm in the reader for reading and writing. It is less important for the reader to get every word exactly right. It is more important for the child to learn to love reading itself. If the reader finishes one book and asks for another, you know you are succeeding!

If your reader writes even once a week and comes back for more, we know we have accomplished our beginning goals.

Program Highlights

> A child enrolled in Bright Beginning’s Grow Bright Read and Write Program will participate in unique literacy exercises each day.

> Bright Beginning gives children the time and a comfortable place to read books simply for enjoyment versus for an academic purpose.

> Bright Beginning has reading contests and incentives for children to set goals and track their reading progress.

> Bright Beginning creates a comfortable reading environment with books and materials to engage children on all levels.

> Bright Beginning codes the reading and writing activities on our Activity Plans so that parents can see the activities planned for that week targeting Grow Bright Read and Write.

> The staff provides ribbons, certificates, sample activities, bookmarks, etc. to support your child’s goals
