Our Growing Smart Program Before & After School

Bright Beginning provides a great way to extend your child's learning experience. At Bright Beginning’s Growing Smart Program we offer enrichment and a meaningful before or after school curriculum that reinforces what children learn in their classroom.

The focus of our fun packed curriculum is to incorporate experiences that allow children to set and achieve goals, meet challenges, and work together, while still having fun and learning about the ability and perseverance of others. This theme offers an opportunity to challenge children to perform to the full potential.

Our Growing Smart Program extends the learning that takes place in school and provides a variety of activities that promote life skills, such as teamwork, problem solving, creativity, leadership and sportsmanship.

While hanging out with friends, your child will be learning new things with programs such as our Grow Bright: Read and Write program that encourages kids to read or write for 30 minutes every day to sharpen their reading skills. They can also spend time studying or working on homework.

Homework Support

> A quiet area is available for homework and staff is available to help as needed.

> Specific homework time may be scheduled in the activity area.

> Bright Beginning supports school time by providing a designated area where children can work on homework.

> Supplies and resources are provided for children to be successful in working toward homework completion.

> Older children are empowered to develop leadership skills by assisting peers with their homework assignments, homework clubs, and mentoring.

> Skills reinforced during homework time include: time management, independent thinking, communication, and problem solving.
